The Department of Math belongs to a long and distinguished tradition of mathematics reaching back to luminaries like Pythagoras, Euclid, Zeno, al-Nayrizi, and Yang Hui stretching to more modern giants like Bernoulli, Euler and pre-eminent Canadian mathematicians like Cecilia Krieger, Canada's first Ph.D. in Mathematics.
In addition to being responsible for the current and evolving needs of the contemporary needs of global citizens, the Department is charged with maintaining the country's world-famous database: The Unabridged History of Math, accessed annually by dozens of math enthusiasts from over 4 different countries.
The Department has recently raised its e-profile and digital footprint offering some of its most important legacy products online as well as investigating new directions of citizen-directed math requests including differentials and integrals, trigonometry, and non-linear algebra.
